Child Development

At MMCC we have strategically designed classrooms so that each child can learn on an individual basis by choosing a center to engage in, this encourages each child to learn how to make choices. We will focus on eight developmental domains to a growing child: Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Social-Emotional, Physical Wellbeing, Creative Arts, Science and Approaches to Learning.

Group Time

Our staff will implement lesson plans that will increase their developmental skills in a variety of age appropriate activities. Each morning and afternoon the children will participate in group time, in which they will work on recognizing shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. They will also be introduced to the calendar, weather elements and a host of other things.

Active Play

In addition, here at MMCC we

encourage healthy social interactions by making sure each child is aware of their friends feelings, ultimately helping them to engage in constructive play with other children. Your child will be exploring the world with outside play time, both in the morning and afternoon (weather permitting). Giving children an outlet like active play stimulates their processing of these, and can help children develop their skills while having fun.

Potty Training

The Pre-K classroom is designed with the child in mind, while curriculum is very important, MMCC places a large emphasis on potty training as well. Our staff will work with your child's individual needs to become fully potty trained. We have developed a system that is sure to make potty training a rewarding experience for both parent and child.
